Figure shows relative RFP fluorescence for each treatment. Two E. coli colonies were sampled for each treatment (positive control, negative control, and experimental treatment). Fluorescence and density were calculated for five samples for each colony. Negative control 2 and experimental treatment 1 (Promoter 1) were excluded from the graphical data because the cell density did not indicate the presence of cells in those samples. Relative fluorescence is corrected for optic density.
